Abu Dhabi Depository (AD CSD) collaborates closely with its members to deliver exceptional service levels to investors and participants. Committed to upholding international standards, AD CSD ensures that efficiency and transparency remain at the forefront of its operations.

Depository Members

Abu Dhabi Depository LLC operates as a licensed central depository under the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) Regulation on Central Depository Activity. It manages a fully electronic, scripless central securities depository for both listed and unlisted securities on ADX. Physical certificates are not issued for securities listed on the ADX stock exchange. Instead, ownership is recorded and transferred via AD CSD's electronic book-entry system. Members and investors have electronic access to the depository, ensuring seamless and secure transactions.

New Depository Members

The following types of institutions may apply to become a Depository Member of Abu Dhabi CSD LLC:

  • Trading Members of a stock exchange.
  • Clearing Members of a Clearing House.
  • Companies licensed by SCA as custodians of securities.
  • Issuers of securities listed on a stock exchange.
  • Issuers of unlisted securities.
  • Pledgee Members.
  • Any other institutions approved by AD CSD to access the depository system.
